Prelube With Aurora H3

** NOTE: The Prelube is NOT part of the GAIH costs and timeline. The prelube takes place the weekend before GAIH.**

Cost will be $50, with a 50 person cap. This will be an ALASKA FUCK YEAH! event, so expect camping, shiggy, and LOTS OF MOSQUITOES. Also, delicious Alaskan food. Your entry fee will cover the campsite, most food and drink, transportation, and the swag.

We should have enough community tents to provide space. If you can bring a sleeping bag/pad, that would be helpful.

The agenda (21-26 June):
Friday: Pub Crawl “welcome” that evening.

Saturday: Breakfast provided. Chena River pub float. Trail for those who don’t want to float @1200. Alaskan Grill dinner provided (moose, salmon, halibut, etc.). Midnight Sun Run starts at 2200. **UPDATE ON MSR** Midnight Sun Run is a hilarious annual tradition in Fairbanks the Saturday closest to the Summer Solstice. It will be a Red Dress R*n for the PreLube. It is a 10k course – winding through various parts of town and it’s a huge party that the whole town comes out to watch and cheer on! Your Rego Fee WILL NOT cover your registration if you wish to do this officially. Website for the MSR is: It is $30 until 17 June, then goes up to $35 18-21 June, then $40 on day of the race, 22 June.

Sunday: Early morning departure for those doing the Deadhorse Hash Experience. Rojo Hammertoe and Cums Alone are in charge of dealing with this. Arctic Ocean tour, etc. They have limited vehicle space which is already booked. Those wanting to find own transport are welcum to join, you can liaise with them about the tour and timing. Be aware that only ONE rental car agency allows travel on the Dalton Highway (Haul Road), and I don’t recommend you try to fudge it with another company. Also know that this trip is about a 12 hour drive one way. It is an amazing experience, but a long haul.
For those remaining local, we will have a day at Chena Hot Springs. Trails, soak in the springs, and if you want to do touristy things there will be time allowed for that.

Monday: The travel group will do the Arctic Ocean Tour this morning.
Home group will do a midafternoon trail. Alaska shiggy galore! There is plenty of time for people to do touristy things if they wish to.

Tuesday: Free Day! Enjoy Fairbanks, or whatever else you may already have planned.

Wednesday: Caravan departs towards Anchorage. Stopping in Glitter Gulch/Denali. Will figure out camping somewhere for those interested. I know some have already booked lodging or alternate transportation.

Thursday: Depart morning for Talkeetna. Hash and play tourist in one of the most fun towns in AK! Arrive in Anchorage for the welcome party and kick off GAIH!

We will be providing more detailed info shortly, including lots of information about food/drink/tourist options in the Fairbanks area.
